FORAME OVAL PATENTE E ACIDENTE VASCULAR CEREBRAL ISQUÊMICO: UMA ANÁLISE DOS PRINCIPAIS TEMAS EM ESTUDO

Resumo

Objetivo: mapear os principais temas estudados sobre a associação entre forame oval patente e acidente vascular cerebral isquêmico. Método: revisão integrativa da literatura. Foram realizadas buscas no Portal da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), no Scientific Electronic Library Online, Periódicos Capes e no PubMed. Resultados: As pesquisas publicadas focaram em procedimentos de diagnóstico (n=2/16.6%), formas de tratamento clínico e/ou cirúrgico (n=5/41,7%) e de prognóstico (n=5/41,7%). O principal foco foi identificar possibilidades terapêuticas que contribuíssem na redução das repercussões clínicas da associação entre FOP e AVCi. Conclusão: Os achados relacionados ao melhor tipo de diagnóstico, tratamento e prognóstico entre a associação do FOP e AVCi não são conclusivos.

PATENT FORAMEN OVALE AND ISCHEMIC CEREBROVASCULAR ACCIDENT: NA ANALYSIS OF THE MAIN STUDIED THEMES

Objective: Map the main topics studied on the association between patent oval foramen and ischemic stroke. Method: Integrative review of literature,? Searches were performed on the Portal of the Virtual Health Library (BVS), Scientific Electronic Library Online, Periodicals Capes and PubMed. Results: Published research focused on diagnostic procedures (n = 2/16.6%), forms of clinical and/or surgical treatment (n = 5/41.7%) and prognosis (n = 5/41.7%) . The main focus was to identify therapeutic possibilities that contributed to the reduction of clinical repercussions of the association between FOP and AVCI. Conclusion: The findings related to the best type of diagnosis, treatment and prognosis between the association of FOP and AVCI are not conclusive.
